Happy Summer!

Have a great summer everyone!

Info for summer activities...

All-State Auditions:
9-12th Grade students are eligible to audition for All-State Chorus. Music for auditions will come in late July. Those interested in auditioning have the opportunity to attend Meistersinger Camp at Wartburg College in August. Let Mrs. Schack know ASAP if you plan to audition. Remember that this commitment is not to be takin lightly. All-State auditions can be a rigourous project and takes a lot of extra time in your schedule.

OPUS Auditions:
5-9th Grade students are eligible to audition for OPUS. Auditionees learn selected music and then in September Mrs. Schack will record on a CD to be sent in to the judges. Mrs. Schack has the music available now if you are interested in getting a jumpstart on the music!

JH Tri-Rivers Festival

7-8th Grade Tri-River's Chorus Festival
Starmont's girl's chorus sang "When I Am Silent"
This is a beautiful piece written for the young children, victims of the holocaust, that never got to live their lives.
Ellen O. was chosen as one of six finalists to sing a duet during the concert! She sang a verse with a student from East Buchanan in the song "River of the Big Canoes"
"Oye La Musica" is one of our favorite songs to sing! This is a fun excerpt from the performance.
All of the boys sang "Rest Not," with power and conviction!
